Belongil Beach

A long stretch of beach which is perfect for a sunrise walk, Belongil Beach stretches north from the seawall at Main Beach car park up 2.5km to the Belongil Creek. Dusk at Belongil is beautiful, watching the colourful sunsets over Mount Warning. It is relatively safe for swimming however it is best to swim on the Southern end nearest to Byron Bay and when the beach is patrolled. Majority of this beach is dog friendly, so is a great place to spend the day with the whole family. Also home to the popular surfing and snorkelling spot, known as ‘The Wreck’.

My family and I had the most wonderful stay at Osprey Beach house. The house was beautifully furnished, beds were very comfy and the best part was the central location. Just a short walk to Clarkes Beach and so close to town which made our stay so easy without needing a car. The staff were very friendly and helped us with all our needs from start to end. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back again next year!
