Tallow Beach
Tallow Beach stretches all the way from underneath the Cape Byron Lighthouse to Suffolk Park. Being such a large stretch of beach, the locals have a few different names for the areas along Tallow Beach including – ‘Cosy Corner’ which is the left hand, point break nestled right underneath The Lighthouse, ‘Dolphins’ which is the section of beach stretching from Beachcomber Drive to Suffolk Park and ‘Suffolk’ which is the dog friendly part of Tallow Beach.
‘Cosy Corner’ – A well know short boarders, left hand point break. A popular beach with Byron Bay locals and a great place to spend the day when there is a northerly wind.
‘Dolphins’ – A quiet and secluded area of Tallow Beach, where you can escape the crowds.
‘Suffolk’ (dog friendly) – Majority of the Suffolk Park end of Tallow Beach is dog friendly (look out for the signs). A great place to escape the Byron Bay crowds and spend the day on the beach with the whole family.
