Wategos

Wategos is arguably the most beautiful of all the Byron Bay beaches. A protected inlet, nestled underneath the Cape Byron Lighthouse, crystal clear waters with great surf all year round. Home to a large pod of friendly dolphins, you can often catch them surfing the waves alongside the board riders.

A great place to enjoy a beach BBQ and watch the spectacular sunsets. Also located at the base of the Lighthouse track, you can take a walk up to Byron’s highest vantage point, to spot whales in the distance or enjoy a coffee and an ice cream from the Lighthouse café.

My family and I had the most wonderful stay at Osprey Beach house. The house was beautifully furnished, beds were very comfy and the best part was the central location. Just a short walk to Clarkes Beach and so close to town which made our stay so easy without needing a car. The staff were very friendly and helped us with all our needs from start to end. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back again next year!
